Amir-Abdollahian thanked Abdul-Mahdi for his active participation in the Tehran International Conference on Palestine and said the purpose of the event was to use international capacities and mechanisms more effectively to help the Palestinian people and stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime.
Amir-Abdollahian further referred to the excellent and strategic relations between Iran and Iraq, noting that the continuous visits and consultations between high-ranking officials of both countries and the numerous cooperation deals signed by them at different levels and in various fields show the depth of their friendly and brotherly ties.
The Iranian foreign minister thanked Iraq for its constructive role in regional developments and cooperation.
He underlined the need for Iraq to continue its role in diplomatic and international initiatives and efforts to stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
Also, Abdul-Mahdi appreciated the successful holding of the Tehran meeting on Palestine and hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s decisive and principled policy of supporting the resistance and the oppressed Palestinian nation.
He further condemned 75 years of Zionist occupation and called for synergy among Palestinians and in the Muslim world in defense of the Palestinian resistance.
